VideoQC, 4K Scope and NXS add KRONOS SDI/IP support

North Melbourne, Australia, March 6, 2018 - Bluefish444, manufacturer of the Professional Video industry’s highest-quality uncompressed 4K SDI, ASI, Video Over IP & HDMI I/O cards and mini converters, announces forthcoming Drastic Technologies support for the Bluefish444 KRONOS Range.

Drastic Technologies have been supporting Bluefish444 Epoch hardware SDI for many years in their MediaNXS, 4KScope and videoQC software. Updates to the Drastic Technologies software brings with it support for the Bluefish444 KRONOS Range features, including SMPTE 2022/2110 Video Over IP, SDI and HDMI video and audio capture and playout.

“Drastic Technologies have worked with Bluefish444 hardware for many years now, and it is great to have their applications supporting the new KRONOS range of video hardware,” said Tom Lithgow, Bluefish444 Product Manager. “The flexibility of Kronos I/O interfaces allows Drastic Technologies real-time analysis and file-based QC and review, to integrate into IP, SDI and HDMI equipment.”

4KScope lets customers analyse IP, SDI and HDMI signals at up to 4K 60fps in HDR and SDR with Bluefish444 KRONOS hardware. This combination makes for a cost-effective signal analysis, with waveform, vectorscope, histogram, chromaticity and a host of other scopes included. VideoQC is a suite of tools designed to review and analyse media files for QC applications. VideoQC provides a range of capabilities from basic file VGA viewing, to industry-standard scopes, IP, SDI, HDMI 2.0 output via Bluefish444 hardware, and quality assurance with trim/export, full reference comparisons, and reports.

“Bluefish444 has taken the robust and stable Epoch cards and added all the features required by the latest mixed SDI/IP workflows in KRONOS,” comments James Brooks, CTO at Drastic Technologies. “We are thrilled to have a single hardware platform flexible enough to cover all our I/O scenarios.”

Drastic Technologies will be on Bluefish444 stand SL9021 at NAB Show 2018, demonstrating their 4KScope and videoQC applications utilising Bluefish444 hardware. To read more about Bluefish444’s support with Drastic Technologies, visit bluefish444.com
