Simultaneous 4K SDI and SMPTE 2022/2010 output from KRONOS, and multi-channel SDI/IP capture with IngeSTore Server 3G

North Melbourne, Australia, June 19, 2018 – Bluefish444, manufacturer of the professional video industry’s highest-quality uncompressed 4K SDI, ASI, Video Over IP & HDMI I/O cards and mini converters, announces Ideal Systems will demonstrate Bluefish444 KRONOS Optikos video I/O card with simultaneous 4K SDI and SMPTE IP output to IngeSTore Server 3G multi-channel SDI and SMPTE IP capture at BroadcastAsia 2018.

Ideal Systems will be showing the upcoming Bluefish444 KRONOS Optikos video I/O card, outputting a 4K SDI signal from Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC, with a simultaneous HD SMPTE 2110 uncompressed IP stream via 10Gb Ethernet to the local video network. In this joint workflow demo, SMPTE 2022/2110 receivers such as Embrionix emSFP+, and Phabrix Qx analysers on the Ideal Systems stand will receive the uncompressed signal.

The Bluefish444 KRONOS Optikos enables workflows requiring multi-channel Ultra HD, high dynamic range video, SMPTE 2022/2110 Video Over IP, and supports high frame-rates up to 120fps. KRONOS hardware is 8K ready, with the capacity to support future 8K video workflows.

Bluefish444’s IngeSTore Server 3G 3RU multi-channel ingest appliance will be integrated into the Ideal Systems stand, with SDI and SMPTE 2022 IP sources being captured directly to the network-connected Studio Network Solutions storage. IngeSTore software captures into a range of formats, including uncompressed and DVCPRO complimentary codecs, and DNxHD, ProRes, AVC-Intra, Sony XDCAM, and JPEG 2000 codecs via licences available on the Bluefish444 Shop.

IngeSTore software supports Edit-While-Record workflows, and with the new BlueRT plugin, allows growing file to be edited by Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro CC while recording continues in IngeSTore.

“KRONOS Optikos is an extremely versatile product allowing SDI, HDMI and Video Over IP workflows in a single PCIe video I/O card,” said Tom Lithgow, Bluefish444 Product Manager. “Workflow demonstrations like this are a great way to see how Bluefish444 integrate with industry partner products, such as Embrionix emSFP and the Phabrix Qx analyser.”

“We have successfully deployed Bluefish444 in many of our solutions, and we rely on their great vision and R&D to keep churning out class-leading products that keep us ahead of the game.
