INGESTORE EDIT-WHILE-RECORD WORKFLOWS (EWR)
IngeSTore is a multi-channel capture software, and supports a number of different workflows for EWR; sometimes referred to as Growing Files.
Edit-While-Record means that you can start editing your footage in popular NLEs such as Avid Media Composer, while your file is still being captured into a growing file.
EWR WITH AVID MEDIA COMPOSER QUICKTIME, MXF (OP-1A) & MP4 FILES
For Avid Media Composer NLE systems to access QuickTime, MXF (OP-1A) and MP4 video files while they are still being recorded by IngeSTore, editors require:
- the BlueCodecPack licence on the IngeSTore capture station to record the RTIN* supported formats, and
- BlueRT for the Avid Media Composer editing system to read the RTIN files being recorded by IngeSTore.
*RTIN is a proprietary file that is written alongside the video/audio file allowing any supported format listed on the IngeSTore Codec Supplement to be accessed indirectly by the NLE while recording continues.
