INGESTORE EDIT-WHILE-RECORD WORKFLOWS (EWR)

IngeSTore is a multi-channel capture application, and supports a number of different workflows for EWR; sometimes referred to as Growing Files.

There are two EWR workflows available including; native MXF OP1a growing files supported by Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Premiere Pro using the BlueRT plug-in for QuickTime, MXF and MP4 workflows.

Edit-While-Record means that you can start editing your footage in Premiere Pro, while your file is being captured live as a growing file.

BLUERT-ENABLED EWR WITH ADOBE PREMIERE PRO

For Adobe Premiere Pro CC NLE systems to access QuickTime, MXF (OP-1A) and MP4 video files while they are still being recorded by IngeSTore, editors require:

  1. BlueCodecPack licence on the IngeSTore capture station to record the growing file formats, and
  2. BlueRT Premiere Pro CC plug-in enables these editing system to read the growing files being recorded by IngeSTore.

EWR WITH ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CC MXF XDCAM 422 50MB & AVC-INTRA 100

There is an alternative EWR workflow offered by Bluefish444 with Adobe Premiere Pro CC, based on the Sony MXF XDCAM 422 50Mb and AVC-Intra 100 formats.

Editors will require the BlueCodecPack Licence on the IngeSTore capture station to write MXF XDCAM 422 50Mb and AVC-Intra 100 files, with Premiere Pro reading these files natively for live editing of the growing files.

For this workflow, a BlueRT licence is not required for network-connected Adobe workstations.

*RTIN is a proprietary file that is written alongside the video/audio file allowing any supported format listed on the IngeSTore Codec Supplement to be accessed indirectly by the NLE while recording continues.
